U16's v Stornoway is cancelled, Stornoway are unable to field a team.
So full 15 a-side game this Saturday at KGS
everyone to get a game and the people who do well will be selected for the game against Gordonstoun at home next Saturday.
Please be ready to warm up at 10.00 and then we might see some of the U18 game at Picky before watching the first team at 1.00.

U16's who are not in the squad for Stornoway should still train on Sat with Bruce, Derek etc etc. You will then have chance to be one of the squad for next weeks game against Gordonstoun.
All the boys in the squad will get an opportunity to play for the team IF YOU TRAIN regularly.
Stornoway are confirming details on Thursday morning IF they cannot raise a team there will be a full 15 a side game at KGS with teams selected on Sat at 10.00. The people who do well in this game will be up for selection for Gordonstoun at home next Saturday.

Orkney's Internal set up was the envy of many teams that the club encounters. Not often you have a set up that such a range of age and abillitys can all play together. It's a credit to the community and the club I hope rugby for all picks up again.

Mini Rugby starts this weekend.
Kirkwall and Dounby start at 10 and finish about 12 on Saturday 4 September and the St Andrews session will be on the Sunday, as usual, from 11 to 1, I think!!
These sessions are open to all P4 - P7 kids, boys and girls, who wish to give rugby a try. New Members always welcome! Just mind on your boots, warm clothes if its cauld and maybe a change of clothes if its wet!! 
Any parents, ex players etc who are interested in helping out with the Minis are also more than welcome to come along and see if your up to it!!!! For more details contact Brian Lanni or Bruce Ruthven.
Parents of Kirkwall Mini rugby players, if the bairns have any extra pocket money this week I still have some of my raffle tickes to sell, hint hint! 
 Next week we will be giving 'Taster sessions' for P2 and P3 kids at all Mini locations, more details to follow but parents should note that these session will be NO CONTACT Tag rugby sessions and the Rugby Rookie Sessions will be mainly aimed at passing and running skills in the hope that they have learnt these fundamental aspects before hopefully moving up to Mini, and contact, sessions in the future!! Coke and crisps for the Rookies too!!

Good Afternoon,
With the 1sts getting off to a flyer on Saturday I think it’s important we start to get the internal rugby up and firing again.
There will be an open meeting in the clubhouse tomorrow evening (31/08) at 7.45pm for anyone who was any ideas in how to create a successful internal/2nd xv setup in Orkney.
