THE ROOM WAS FULL OF PREGNANT WOMEN WITH THEIR PARTNERS.
THE CLASS WAS IN FULL SWING.
THE INSTRUCTOR WAS TEACHING THE WOMEN HOW TO BREATHE PROPERLY AND WAS TELLING THE MEN HOW TO GIVE THE NECESSARY ASSURANCE TO THEIR PARTNERS AT THIS STAGE OF THE PREGNANCY.
SHE SAID " LADIES, REMEMBER THAT EXERCISE IS GOOD FOR YOU.
WALKING IS ESPECIALLY BENEFICIAL. IT STRENGTHENS THE PELVIC MUSCLES AND WILL MAKE DELIVERY THAT MUCH EASIER!"
SHE LOOKED AT THE MEN IN THE ROOM, "AND GENTLEMEN, REMEMBER -- YOU'RE IN THIS TOGETHER --- IT WOULDN'T HURT YOU TO GO WALKING WITH HER."
THE ROOM SUDDENLY GOT VERY QUIET AS THE MEN ABSORBED THIS INFORMATION.
THEN A MAN AT THE BACK OF THE ROOM SLOWLY RAISED HIS HAND.
"YES?" ANSWERED THE TEACHER.
"I WAS JUST WONDERING. IS IT ALL RIGHT IF SHE CARRIES A GOLF BAG WHILE WE WALK?"

To be fair if it was an Alloa strip hanging up in the back window then I wouldn't have assumed it was a Glasweign caravan 
Hope the repair bill sent to Lugsy was suitably large!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody who contributed to making last weekend such a roaring success (both on and off the course ).
Thanks to:
- Men's committee for the help in getting organised
- Doreen and the Ladies for the fantastic food on Sunday.
- Jean for working tirelessly all weekend to keep us fed & watered, plus Sonia and Tracy for their efforts too.
- The greenstaff for their efforts on the course which is looking better than ever!
- Hutch & Andy for their help on the OGC side
- Ralph & Marty for very generously sponsoring the shirts again
- Graeme & Ryan for organising the Shetland end
- All of the Shetland lads who made the effort to travel
- and finally all of the Orkney boys who played and won back the Viking Trophy for us!
See you all next year at Dale for what is undoubtedly the best weekend on the golfing calendar!

That turtle wax is damn good stuff!  Im sure it would clean shower curtains too?

Perhaps Bell with his car cleaning kit and Angus with his hose could start a new car valeting service?! Philip could even climb his ladder to polish the wing mirrors. Pete could jump start any flat battery too. Think my car would need Ray's pressure washer on it tho...
Classic all time prize giving - shame there were so few SGC members there to see it (before you say it Andy!).

If he's 8 HC for the Open then he's NOT getting in! If he does he'll be out at 5.30am.
Glad to hear his powers are strong as far as the weather is concerned though.

Jim, Its a good job I haven't told anyone about last Monday when you set your trolley off toward the 5th tee and managed to catch it halfway across the 18th green or when you engaged high gear after playing your 2nd to the 15th and it tipped over, depositing all your clubs acorss the (16th) fairway.
