Sad News

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death last week of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey kokey" died peacefully at the age of 93.
The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in, and then the trouble started.

Seeing as my message requesting help to fill divots was so successful (NOT!) I thought I'd have another go.
We are looking for helpers to transfer turf from the old 15th, before it's dug up, to a "storage area" so that it can be used for Tees and other repairs.
This will be happening on Saturday the 7th at 10am and we will need good numbers to make light work of what otherwise will be a pretty heavy job.
If you want to see good quality tees and repairs, please offer your help so that the turf is not wasted. My e-mail address is above.

We are having a Casino night in the club after the Standing Stones Open on the 10th of June. There will be Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and a Texas Hold 'em table.
There will be loads of bottles of spirits for prizes, so come along for a good night!
Depending on numbers, we might need some extra chips, so if anyone has any sets of poker chips available that we could borrow, please let me know.
