After a fantastic festival of rugby, which started shortly after 9am with the youth sides competing on the back pitches at Pickaquoy - and included girls, minis and midi competitions - the Orkney Builders Sevens day ended with an early evening victory for one of the six visiting sides, Stewart's Melville
The visiting side beat Orkney 19-7 in a final that had all the attributes of an entertaining Sevens match.
Orkney were very pleased to be hosting some top quality sides for their 48th Sevens tournament, and this reflected in the results elsewhere on the day.
In the Plate final, frequent visitors and close friends Grangemouth beat Predators 32-7, while Currie beat West 24-0 in the Pail Final.
