Caithness RFC, Orkney RFC and Shetland RFC are joining forces and it’s going to be an absolute belter! Three clubs, one squad, and a whole lot of northern grit. The girls are teaming up to take on the league with the kind of power you only get when you mix Vikings, islanders, and a healthy dose of “aye, let’s just get on with it”. From Thurso to Kirkwall to Lerwick, the North is rolling in as one and if you think that’s not terrifying for the opposition, you’ve clearly never seen these lassies hit a tackle bag. U18 Vikings...ready to make some noise. KO Sunday 11:30 at KGS The lads are on the road this weekend as ORFC U16s head to Rubislaw to take on Aberdeen Grammar. Big pitch, big opposition, big chance to make a statement.
The squad is locked in, the energy’s high, and if they play anything like last week, Rubislaw’s scoreboard operator might want to limber up. Sunday • KO 11:30AM • Rubislaw Playing Fields Let’s get behind the boys as they take the island grit south! Details for Away tickets for the 2027 6N games against France and England have been released.
Receiving the kick-off, Orkney demonstrated excellent rugby from the outset, with fullback Aleisha Womack crossing the line for the opening try, successfully converted by Cailynn Williamson.
Club members and sponsors are invited to apply for home Scotland Six Nations 2027 tickets through Orkney RFC.
For large parts of the game, Orkney looked the better team, playing some really good rugby and showing plenty of skill and rugby sense.
It was particularly encouraging to see the girls who have stepped up from the U14s settle in so well in their first competitive game at this level. |
