Since June 1st 2021, Dylan Russell has been running 35km every single week without fail in an attempt to raise money for The Hearts and Balls Charitable Trust which allows support to be given to rugby players impacted by serious injuries or illness.
Aptly named “The 365 Challenge”, his goal was to do this for an entire year, the equivalent distance of running 5km every single day for 365 days! He’s also decided to go even bigger to finish the challenge and for the final two weeks (19th May - 1st June) he will be attempting 14 half marathons, across all 14 Scottish Health-boards in just 14 days!
Dylan’s is being sponsored on the Orkney leg of this amazing fundraising effort by Kirkjuvagr Gin and those in Orkney this Friday (20th) are welcome to come along to The Rugby Club for 10am to support Dylan as he kicks off the Orkney lap of his journey. If you are feeling fit run/cycle along with him (even if only for a small part).

Keep up the great work Dylan!
Reminder to all sections that a review meeting will take place at the Club on Sunday 8 May at 2pm to discuss all the lessons learned from the past season.
People can join and stay for as long or as short a period that they like as I know people will have other commitments.
If you cannot get along on the day but want to contribute, please email Ian Carse with anything you’d like to be discussed
