Orkney RFC welcomed Gordonians RFC to the Picky pitch on Saturday 16th December, after the away fixture it was always going to be a tall order for the home side.

Here's your Orkney RFC 1st XV to take on Gordonians RFC at Picky on Saturday at 12:30.
Don't forget a bonny Christmas Jumper to keep you nice & warm and come back to the clubhouse after the game to join the festivities including a chance to win a prize for best jumper!

No Youth Rugby training tonight

There will be no youth rugby joint training session at the club tonight (13 December) - please pass the word

A decision on the date of the next session will be made this evening.

12:30 kick-off for final 1st XV game of 2017

The 1st XV's final game of 2017 against Gordonians kicks off at Picky on Saturday at 12:30. This will be an important match for both teams and the boys will be looking for a good home support.

Dig out your Christmas Jumpers! - they will be the official post match team attire and supporters are encouraged to join in the fun - a prize will be awarded in the clubhouse for the "most outstanding" (as judged by ORFC Women's Captain Jo Inkster and her glamorous assistants!)

Players are reminded that there will be a £10 fine for those not wearing a Christmas Jumper - this includes the guys not in the squad and who are at the match.

Christmas Doo tickets - today is the deadline to get numbers in for the Christmas Dinner & Disco following the Gordonians game so that food can be arranged - if you haven't already done so, there's more info here.

The next social event at ORFC will be the Xmas doo on Saturday 16th December at 7pm for 7:30.

This will be taking place after our last game of the year at home v Gordonians RFC.

Unfortunately tomorrow's Highland v Orkney game in Inverness is OFF.

If it wasn't for the unplayable pitches, cancelled ferries and treacherous roads you would have the perfect excuse for avoiding the Christmas shopping!

The match will be rescheduled for a later date.

Youth Rugby: U14s &U16s in action tomorrow

Both the U14 & U16 teams are in action tomorrow (Sunday 3rd December) against Caithness at Picky

The U16s kick off at 12 noon and players should meet at ORFC at 10:30, while the U14 match kicks-off at 1pm with an 11:45 meet.

So come along tomorrow and cheer on the club's young-stars!
