Unfortunately the Dragons game in Shetland and the U13/14 trip to Aberdeen have been postponed, but the mini rugby trip to Invergordon is still on!
Thanks to 1st XV match sponsors Donaldsons of Orkney and The Pit Stop Garage!
The option is there to stay over both nights (in the Park Hotel), one night or just come over for the day on Saturday. It should be noted that it is proper vets rules so it is suitable for ALL ages to have a rumble!
Supporters are more than welcome to travel too.
Contact Glen McLellan if you’re interested!
Orkney under-13s and under-14s travelled to Invergordon on Sunday 25th September 2022, with 2 mixed teams of U13s & U14s making up an Orkney A & B team.
Video from the game at Picky by George Brown (Rohallion)…
If you’re not able to make it to Picky and are enjoying this game from elsewhere, please consider helping the club with a Social membership (they can even be paid for from the comfort of your sofa!) Thanks!
Also, the team will be wearing their brand new new strip thanks to Norman Sinclair from our Main Club Sponsor, Orkney Brewery
The brewery is currently looking for a Trainee Brewer and they’re keen to have someone associated with the club for this role.
If that might interest you or someone you know, get in touch with them now!
A reminder that Membership subscriptions for the new season are now due. With even more teams competing away south, travel costs soon add up and memberships contribute significantly to the costs of running the club and the provision of equipment. We thank you in advance for your continued support!
Card payments for memberships can now be taken in the clubhouse
Players / parents are reminded that they must also complete a SCRUMS registration in addition to completing a membership form & please ensure that any EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS in the system are up to date
Prior to play on Saturday 17th September, to pay their respect to Her Majesty The Queen, Orkney Rugby Club’s U18 and U16, Angus Colts, Montrose and District RFC, match officials and supporter’s held a one-minute silence.
Thanks to Orkney Photographic for all the pictures
