On Sunday 1st of September we are having the first of the new season’s practice/training sessions for all Mini & Rookie`s & U14s Sections at the Rugby Club in Kirkwall from 12.30 to 3 pm. All players are invited to a training session and games coordinated by the Senior Orkney 1st Xv and parents will receive a short presentation by ORFC personnel stating the “seasons aims” and “looking at the way forward.” The Open day will include Refreshments and a BBQ. Contact Bruce Ruthven or Brian Lanni for more information. Chris Paterson kicking at his old posts across the firth...  Mark Sinclair, a former pupil of Stromness Academy, is the new ORFC apprentice for season 2013/14. He will be working with Bruce Ruthven as a Community Rugby Coach.

Download the policy & application form  Over the past two weeks Players from the Highlands & Islands have been involved in Scottish Rugby`s pathway representative rugby. With the Highlanders, Tayside & Fife, Central and North east making up the Caledonia region all teams and players were out to stake a claim for a Caledonia jersey and catch the eye of Scotland selectors for the season ahead.
The SRU policy for U18 players playing adult rugby has been updated for the new season.
