ORFC AGM - Tuesday 14th May 2019

The 2019 ORFC AGM will take place at the clubhouse at 7:30pm on Tuesday 14th May.

No Proxy votes will be accepted.

A good turnout of members is requested to attend.

Orkney Under-14 Sevens Tournament Sat 27 April 2019

On Saturday 27th April the Under 14’s held their own 7’s tournament with 3 Orkney Teams taking part along with Caithness.

The three Orkney Teams comprised the Yellows, Reds and Blues. The format was a round robin and then the top 2 would play off in a final and the 3rd and 4th place teams would play off for 3rd and 4th overall.

East Mini Rugby Awards 2018/19

On Sunday 28th April at the last training session of the season the East Awards were held.
The Rookies gave 2 awards – Most Improved Rookie to Jack Tait and Rookie of the Year Tom Montgomery.

What a fantastic way to close our last training session of the year!

Great seeing the 9 x P3 players attending our Transition Session and mixing it up with the P4/5’s. There’s great promise there and we look forward to them coming back in September.

Good luck to the Primary 7 players moving up into S1 rugby - (we will confirm the Transition Sessions shortly).

Orkney RFC Stag Do 2019 - Saturday 20 April

The annual Stag Do will take place this year on Saturday 20th April and will be held at the club at 7 for 7:30pm

Speakers are Neill Renton from the King Penguins to the game of Rugby, Goose to Orkney Rugby and Scott Rendall as captain will sum up the season.
Master of Ceremonies will be Kevin Sutherland.
Should be a good night to round off the season!

Orkney Rugby Sevens 2019

The 52nd Annual Orkney Sevens tournament takes place at Picky on Saturday 4th May.

Mini Rugby Tournament from 10am
Main Tournament draw at 11:30, first tie kicks off at 12:30pm.

Spectators are very welcome - along with the rugby, there will be food & refreshments available throughout the afternoon.

In the evening, the clubhouse is open with a late bar licence.
