Kirkwall Rookies - Saturday Mornings 10-11am at the Picky Centre

Looking for a fun activity for the kids at the weekends?

With the First’s back in action this weekend, why not pop along to Kirkwall Rookies on Saturday morning. Get the bairns started early and in no time at all they will be pulling on an ORFC shirt!

Alternatively, if you’re in the East head to “Burrayfield” from 10:30am on Sundays or Dounby Primary School from 11am Sundays.

Match Report | Under 16s Away v Highland 21-11-21

On Sunday 21st November a squad of 15 depleted by injuries and illness headed off to play Highland for their toughest game of the season so far as Highland play in the National Conference. As Highland have 2 squads it was agreed that Highland would field 2 teams, Whites and Greens and everyone would play each other in a straight 30 minute match.
Highland Greens beat Highland Whites in the first game.

Glenrothes Match OFF - Scotland v Australia ON

Unfortunately this Saturday’s game against Glenrothes has been postponed.

However, the clubhouse will be OPEN from 13:30 on SUNDAY to show the Scotland v Wallabies game live from Murrayfield. Come along for some rugby a bit of banter and a wee refreshment! K.O 14:15.

It was the game everyone was waiting for and it didn’t disappoint.

Orkney Dragons welcomed the Shetland Ponies for the rugby battle of the islands. Not the best playing conditions but that didn’t stop the competitive nature of the game.

Invergordon, Saturday 30th October

A squad of 17 headed to Ross Sutherland on Saturday and were surprised to find perfect conditions to play the match in as Invergordon was bathed in Sunshine.

Ross Sutherland had combined with Shetland to enable Orkney to field their own full team for the first team this season. As there was no need to rotate players between squads it was agreed to play a normal 35 mins each half match.
