Nearly time for a new rugby season! But first it's County Show........hopefully!
The ORFC stand at the show will include BAKING and a BOTTLE STALL(a large stock of bottles is required to keep it running all day). We will be delighted to accept anything from spirits, wine, tomato sauce, cans of juice, shampoo etc.
Bottles and baking can be dropped off at 20 Burnside, Kirkwall or Robertsons Oil Depot,Shore Street, Kirkwall any time this week or next.
The Club are also very lucky to have the BLUE DOOR for one week starting on Monday 7th September. Keep an eye on the website but goods can get dropped off at The Club on Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Saturdays once the Minis get started.
It is great we have so many bairns in the Junior section - please help us use these opportunities to get the fundraising off to a flyer.
Thank you for your support,
Junior/Social Membership Secretary
This Saturday - 25th July - see's Orkney RFC take on their northern neighbours in the Shetland Times Cup, Intercounty match. Orkney will be looking to regain the Cup on Home soil following the defeat in Shetland a few years ago.
Due to the continuing poor weather and heavy ground conditions, the venue for the match has been moved to the sand-based pitch at DOUNBY with the kick-off being scheduled for 1pm
Supporters are welcome to view this competitive match that will see a mix of experience and development players in action.
The newly refurbished Clubhouse will be open for post match refreshments (and hilarity) with a bit of Shetland craic in the mix too.
See you all there.
