Orkney U15 0 Highland U15 30
On Sunday 22nd February, Orkney Rugby Club's under 15's played host to a large squad of players from Highland Rugby Club. As Orkney does not normally have an U15 team this team was made up of a number of older U14.
Despite the age difference between the two teams Orkney played incredibly well and showed an enormous amount of passion and commitment.

Both teams coped well with terrible conditions and played entertaining and challenging rugby with only occasional mistakes. Despite not scoring the boys were more than a match for their opponents for large parts of the game. Notable performances were the half back pairing of Connor Hancock and Andrew Mulraine.
The front five were powerful in their scrummaging and Ronan Gray, Josh Leonard and Glen Brough were outstanding in their ball carrying. The back row of Cameron Fraser, Henry Gordon and Aaron Gibson were relentless in their pursuit of possession and their rucking was very impressive.
A number of the backs stood out; Ben Johnson for his positive running and Magnus Baikie for a strong performance in his first game at this level. Any number of players could have received man of the match but it was given collectively to the back row of Gibson, Gordon and Fraser.
A special mention needs to made of Connor Hancock's try saving tackle that, quite literally had several members of the crowd off their feet.
