Kirkwall Mini Rugby Awards 2018/19

​​What a fantastic way to close our last training session of the year!

Great seeing the 9 x P3 players attending our Transition Session and mixing it up with the P4/5’s. There’s great promise there and we look forward to them coming back in September.

Good luck to the Primary 7 players moving up into S1 rugby - (we will confirm the Transition Sessions shortly).

A huge well done to ALL of the Kirkwall Mini’s players for the past season. You have all made improvements and come with the right attitudes.  Attendance levels have been consistently high which makes it easier for the coaches to set up sessions. Big thanks also to the assistant coaches/helpers who have regularly supported us throughout the season.

Due to a very kind donation, we were able to make a presentation of a trophy to a player in each primary class age group. This was not an easy decision to make and Thorfinn and myself had many a sleepless night. Each age group had several players knocking on the door but the 2018/19 Players of the Season were:-

Primary 4 - Ran Jackson Rouse
Primary 5 - Matthew Meason
Primary 6 - Cameron Boyd
Primary 7 - Craig Morris

We will see you all next week at the Annual Orkney RFC 7’s competition weekend, details below-
Mini Rugby Tournament: 10am kick-off - players are to meet at the outfield tent at 9:45am as the first game starts at 10am sharp.
Rookies Tournament: 11am kick-off - players are to meet at the outfield tent at 10:45am to select teams and play their games.
