While in Holm I popped into Marty Flett’s offices to ask if folk there could put a couple of our leaflets in front of their staff and if they could put a couple of leaflets into the Post Office tomorrow as it was closed at the time I was in the village, and a lovely lady agreed to do both of these things on our behalf
Later on I was pleased when Kristian Cooper came by my Holm stop for a blether and to pay for his book, and I met his doggie companion Nessa.
When I got to Deerness I was in need of sugar and bought a Bounty bar at Deerness Stores, and the ladies there (one of whom was the owner) agreed that I could put one of our boards outside Deerness Stores to help direct folk down to the Community Centre where I was based. Three folk came by but I didn’t sell any books, but that’s not a problem as it’s always good to see folk.
Next stop on my Book Tour will be St Margaret’s Hope on Monday 8 July where I will be outside Cromarty Hall between 1600 and 1800 when I hope a few folk will come to buy a book or just come for a blether.
