The 56th Annual Orkney Sevens tournament takes place at Picky on Saturday 3 May.

Team Registration starts at 11:00am, draw at 11:30 and the Main Tournaments start at 12:00 on the outfield pitches.

Mini Rugby Tournament: players are to meet at the mini pitches at 10:00am
Rookies Tournament: 11:00-12:00 - players are to meet at the mini pitches at 10:45 to select teams.

Entertainment - along with the rugby, there will be music, raffles, pitch-side food & refreshments available throughout the afternoon.
Cash & card payments accepted at the Refreshments Tent
Entry is £5 (including programme) - head past the clubhouse to the outfield pitches.

In the evening, there is a Marquee Dance with live music from 6pm and Northern Limit at 8pm.
Admission is £20 - Over 18s Only - ID & wristband required for entry

Sunday 4th May – Boozy brunch from 12:00 & BBQ from 3pm with Hockey Club Disco at 8pm - Admission £10 - Over 18s only - ID Required

Vacancy: Community Rugby Coach

Orkney Rugby Football Club are looking for a Community Rugby Coach to assist the Rugby Development Officer.

Candidates must have an interest in delivering rugby, have good communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.

The role will focus on delivering high quality coaching sessions in schools, clubs and organisations to leave a lasting impact on the local community. The role is suited to someone with a passion for coaching and rugby.

Autumn International 2025 Ticket Applications now open

Club members are now able to apply for tickets for the 2025 Autumn Nations Series games in November.

You will need an online ticketing account with Scottish Rugby in order to apply.

Please note that the club's allocation is based on the number of tickets that members apply for - THERE ARE NO "SPARE TICKETS". So, "If you don't ask now, you won't get later!"

DEADLINE for entries is Monday 21 April.

Two tickets available for Scotland v Italy 6N 2025 & payment reminder

The club has two tickets available to members for the Scotland v Italy 6N game on Saturday 1st Feb - £126 each, which need to be allocated & paid for by this weekend.
Please contact Olga Burton by Phone/Text or E-mail if you are interested.

Also, please can everyone who’ve asked for tickets make sure they are either paid for by the weekend or decline them online so we can sell them on to others - otherwise they will be returned to the SRU.

Lucky Golden Token nets a £5000 bonanza for the Rugby Club!

The results on the pitch may not have gone the right way yesterday, but Orkney RFC was definitely a winner off the field with a £5000 bonanza after a Golden Token find at Tesco!

Linda Ross found the winning token as part of Tesco’s Stronger Starts, Golden Grants campaign where the winner gets to chose one community organisation from the three represented in-store to receive the money.

Linda decided to donated to the rugby club as her husband Bob, who suffers from MND, has received support from the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

With community rugby well established within schools around the county; more youth teams than before travelling south to play rugby each weekend and the successful introduction of our “Warm up Wednesday” after school programme, the funds will be well spent!

The club are extremely grateful to Linda & Tesco Kirkwall for the donation and to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation for providing the inspiration!
