This Saturday, the 21st Feb see's Glenrothes RFC travel to Orkney to play in the much anticipated 'double header'. The game is going to be a bruising encounter with both teams looking to gain precious points in the BT Caledonia League Division 1 encounter and the coveted Caledonia Shield. A win for Orkney would see them stretch their lead over 2nd placed Glenrothes and still have two games in hand. They would also be crowned winners of the Caledonia Shield which allows them to progress to play the winner of the West Region Shield which was GHK. This BT Shield semi-final match is away in GHK and is scheduled to be played on the 7th March and is is one step away from a Murrayfield final.
The double header kick off is at 1pm at Pickaquoy and the Caledonia Region Shield will be presented to the winning side immediately after the final whistle
