TRAINING: Training will be on Monday night 5.30 to 7pm at the rugby club, starting on 20 March. "Come and try" session on Monday 13th March. Bad weather back up facility is the Market Stance (riding centre) just outside Kirkwall on Old Finstown road. Parents will get an email notification if we expect the weather to be bad.  Girls wanting to participate are requested to train as regularly as possible, to build up rugby skills and team work. Required kit for training is suitable clothing, rugby boots, a water bottle and a mouth guard/gumshield. As rugby is a contact game, we ask the girls to remove or tape all jewellery and keep their nails short. (players can come to the first sessions with trainers if they do not own rugby boots yet) WHO: Current players, beginners or returning players all welcome. There will be an u14s team and a u16s team. (Both teams will train at the same time, though girl will be training mainly with their age group ) u14s : girls can play u14 if they were 12 or 13 y.o. on the 1st September 2022 OR are younger but are currently S1 at school. u16s : girls can play u16 if they were 14 or 15 y.o. on the 1st September 2022 OR are younger but will be 14 on the 20th of March 2023.
