Andrew Linklater opened the scoring for the Reds to make it 5-0, before leaving the game to A&E with a nose bleed.
David Leisk soon crashed over under the posts for the Wasps to the delight of the 200 strong crowd. Bruce Pinkerton added the vital 2 points to make it 5-7.
Ryan Mooney returned Reds lead to 10-7 while sporting his new headband.
Some excellent interlinking play sent the crowd of 300 roaring support as Calvin Slater ran in his first try for the reds out wide. 15-7
Two quick tries for the wasps by Derek Nicol and Connor Craw retuned the lead, after influential Red, Murray Simpson, left in a wheelbarrow to tape his ankle back on. 15-17 Wasps
The game then opened up with width put on the ball. Top try scorer for internal, Ryan Silver, moved out to the centres to make the most of the space, after finding flanker “a bit too rough”, but it was to no avail as Calvin Slater ran in another 2 tries along out wide for the reds. Robbie Fergus added one more to finish the game 30-17.
