Aberdeen Taexali 70, Orkney RFC 2nd XV

On Friday the 12th the Orkney 2nd XV set course to Aberdeen to play Aberdeen Taexali.
It was a flat calm day with a chill in the air and the boys started off well receiving kick off, Erland Gilmour kicked off the scoring with a lovely well worked move to secure his first try for the seconds.

The game soon came under Orkney’s control with the score at half time being 27-0 Orkney.
10 minutes into the second half Orkney scored 3 tries and 1 conversion.
Time went by and Orkney put the game to bed in the second half & it was not until the end when Taexali finally got the try they pushed for.


The game ended 70-5 Orkney and the boys would like to thank Aberdeen Taexali for being great hosts and thank you to the players for the playing for the other team and massive thanks to Alan Pirie and Pete Eggeling for playing the whole game for Taexali.
