MEMBERSHIPS UPDATE | October 2022

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the 2022/23 season, it's underway already at all age groups and sections.

I'm contacting you all now as it is the start of the season which means that memberships are due again. ORFC would like to thank you very much for your support over previous years.

I, on behalf of ORFC, hope that you can continue to support us again this year. It is so very much appreciated. Your support of ORFC helps with the ongoing costs of the clubhouse, training facilities, pitch costs and of course travelling for games.

​ORFC have already done fundraising this year, having a tent at the County show which was a welcome return to the diary, marshalled at Dounby show and a week in the Blue Door charity shop, along with other events.

The youth sections are having good numbers at training and have had games already which is great to see. Hopefully this continues as the season goes on and the weather possibly gets wintery.

The Dragons have had home and away games with mixed results but hopefully as the season goes on they can grow and gain some wins and improve.

The first XV have gone up into National Division 3 and have had good results with wins and bonus points. Unfortunately, they have already picked up a few injuries but hopefully players will have a speedy recovery and back playing soon.

There has also been a great effort being put into resurrecting a second XV team. So far they have had internal training and games and a friendly against Caithness. It's great to see these fixtures back and hopefully it will help filter players into the first XV as and when required.

Socially the club house is open and functioning as it always used to. Hopefully we will see you there soon for a catch up and drink before and / or after games, internationals etc.

If you feel you can support us again you can go onto the Membership page and download the relevant forms or you can complete a Social or Junior form online. Apologises if you have already paid and completed your membership and there has been a crossover.

ORFC very much look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at matches and the clubhouse for an enjoyable season of rugby ahead and thank you very much in advance of your continued support.
