Orkney RFC’s first team coach, Paul Livingstone, is keen to meet all senior players this coming Saturday and watch/coach a practice game to see and assess the spread of talent we have playing senior rugby, as ORFC prepares for the start of the second half of this season in two weeks time.
Paul knows there are players who are playing internal rugby and others on the fringes of the first XV team who could help to deepen the ORFC squad strength as the club pushes for its highest ever position in National League 3 this season.
Unfortunately due to travelling commitments with the Firsts Paul doesn’t get a chance to see all of the internal league players on a regular basis, so a game on Saturday with two teams mixed from First XV squad players and internal players would give him a good chance to assess the playing strength of the club and give all players the chance for a run out.
Saturday’s game will kick off at 12 noon and be played on the Centre pitch at the Pickaquoy Arena and Paul looks forward to seeing a big turnout for what will be a great opportunity to have all of our players together for a game, and enjoy a pint together afterwards.
