We played many a game of rugby, football and darts together, all under the banner of ORFC, multi talented sportsmen we were not, we just enjoyed the banter and a few Newcastle Brown Ales, many a time clearing out the Club stock after a game.
Craig loved the social side of rugby, especially going on tour, whether it be Westray or Ireland. A touring legend, I could tell a tale or two, but as the great man would often say, what goes on on tour stays on tour.
On Saturday, as a tribute to Craig the first fifteen will play in their yellow and black strip, this was the colour worn by his first club Lochaber.
On behalf of the whole Club, but especially us former teammates, can I pass on our deepest sympathies to Ingrid and all the family.”
