Crag McPherson is an ex-1st XV rugby player, playing both at scrum half and centre for the club. He started his rugby career at Lochaber and then moved to Orkney, where he played for the club in the North District league, Brin Cup, Scottish Cup and National Seven league.
A multi talented sportsman, he also represented the club at football and darts. Craig was legendary on club tours and loved his rugby.
Unfortunately a neck injury ended his rugby and football career. Craig is now fighting a very serious illness and we as friends,ex team mates and a club would like to help him and his family by raising as much money as possible to help them through this difficult time.
We hope that all veteran players, particularly those who played with Craig, could meet at ORFC Clubrooms at 11:00 when sides will be picked and format will be arranged.
A donation to the fund will be required to participate and the Club will be running a fundraising raffle on the day.
Could anybody interested please give their names to club VP, Garry Coltherd (077453 31178) or Secretary, Kevin Sutherland (07879 803945) beforehand so we can have an idea of numbers.
Players / members who are unable to attend on the day can donate on www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/traceys-stanger, where more info can also be found.
